This is Ted's arrangement of the Dylan standard dripping with angst and bad acid. Though some have compared it to Hendrix's "Voodoo Child", Ted modeled the bass line after the type of melody played on a Brazilian berimbau, a kind of bow with a steel string and sounding gourd. Marcus's use of the Fender Rhodes piano through a devious assortment of pedals and Scott's Hendrix-y guitar form the seething backdrop for the demonic vocal performance. Ted took some liberty (this is still America, after all) by paraphrasing Dylan's last verse and adding a final verse of his own. Ted adds some authentic dirty blues harmonica just to throw a little sawdust on the floor.

This American standard written in 1946, and recorded by such greats as Sinatra, Fitzgerald and others shows one of the group's signature concepts. Ted's basic arrangement leaves the original melody in tact, but alters the original chord changes and borrows a little feel from 'Eleanor Rigby" in the refrain. Greg and Jimi provide a moody hip hop feel in the rhythm. Ted's twisting soprano sax lines pay homage to late Sixties spy thrillers, the kind he watched after gigs at 2am on WOR and WPIC New York. The signature Zawinul/Corea inspired Rhodes weaves a magical spell throughout.

This often covered Muddy Waters Blues standard is from the psychedelic"Electric Mud" album. The highlight is Scott's Eric Clapton "Disraeli Gears" inspired guitar solo. it is brilliant toned, economic and succinct. It shows off Scott McKnight as the guitar master he is. Only such a flawless performance can overshadow Marcus's demented life on the edge Rhodes solo. Ted injects the song with his passionate and obsessed vocals taking the song to a dark and dangerous place.

Another Muddy Waters tune, but done in a completely unique manner. The band and Ted on Tenor sax do an homage to John Coltrane and Pharaoh Saunders in the intro until Greg brings in the song with a driving blues riff that grows from under the ecstatic free form. Ted's down and dirty blues vocals lend pathos to the ironic and mystical verses, played in a kind of Steely Dan groove. Another poignant McKnight guitar solo follows Ted's gut-bucket tenor.
